The Interface solution - not just a growth product

When potential referrers ask us what business circumstances fit the IFG service we usually explain that rapid growth is our bread and butter. This is true, but invoice discounting can also help in other business situations... particularly in difficult economic times.

Re-structuring:

Many businesses are needing to re-organise their activities, downsize or re-focus at the moment. They may need to reduce overheads if sales are down. This may involve reviewing/reducing staff numbers, phone and IT systems, developing new product or service lines, etc. They will often find that there is some temporary extra cost involved in this (paying out holiday for staff who are terminated, for example; or paying IT people to re-organise things). Equally frustrating will be the fact that implementing the necessary changes will take time, so they may have to wait a few months before they feel the benefits of the changes on their bottom line. Once they have re-arranged their activities they may very well be viable going forward, but the temporary extra costs and time delays can create a cash-flow squeeze.

If they have current invoices, Interface can provide the necessary short term working capital to help the business through this period. Once the business and its overheads have been re-aligned to fit their income, they can stop using our service.

Bad Debts/Business Losses:

Many businesses have experienced losses due to bad debts or other unforeseen circumstances recently. This can also require a period of re-adjustment before the business stabilizes again. Interface won't buy the bad debts, but if the business has current invoices to other customers we may be able to help provide the necessary short term working capital to help them through a difficult period whilst they deal with the bad debt or other business losses.

In Summary - 3 Ticks to Qualify:

  1. If your customer requires additional working capital, and
  2. The bank cannot assist, and
  3. The business sells on credit

Then they qualify for the Interface process.
