Interface Vero Finalists Again - December 2009

Business support awards finalists announced

NBR staff | Friday December 18 2009 - 02:01pmA pool of more than 160 nominations has been whittled down to a strong field of 37 finalists in 10 categories for the Vero Excellence in Business Support Awards 2010.The awards, which are sponsored by Vero and BDo, are run by Bizzone and are a key event in the lead-up to the Bizzone Business Expo.The New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation selected the finalists.“Excellent business support assists New Zealand businesses to build capability and capacity and in doing so they become more competitive and sustainable,” said Mike Watson, chief executive of the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation.Vero Insurance chief executive Roger Bell said, “It is inspiring to see the impressive range of finalists that demonstrate international levels of best practice in their businesses and quality support as a key part of their business.“This year there has been a resounding 163 nominations and entries which shows the growing commitment of New Zealand’s business support organisations to excellence.”The winners will be announced at a Black Tie Gala Dinner in the Auckland Town Hall on 20 May.Some of the high-profile nominees include Kiwibank, the carboNZero programme, Statistics New Zealand and Inland Revenue.Bizzone managing director Sarah Trotman said businesses should seek out the support they need rather than trying to cope with their struggles on their own.The finalists-BDO Business < $5m T/O One on one Offering
